The United States Conference on AIDS (USCA) is the largest AIDS-related gathering in the U.S., bringing together thousands of workers from all fronts of the HIV/ AIDS epidemic to share best practices and cutting edge information.
Four conference ambassadors were selected through a highly competitive two-round application process to attend the USCA in Washington, D.C. from September 9-12, 2015. The four outstanding HIV health care professionals selected as the CBA Ambassadors were:
- John Curry – Unconditional Love, Inc. (Melbourne, FL)
- Antonina G. Foster – Emory University School of Medicine (Atlanta, GA)
- Kachina Kudroff – UAB 1917 Clinic (Birmingham, AL)
- Jeffery Williams-Knight – Mecklenberg Co. Health Department (Charlotte, NC)
As part of the conference experience, the ambassadors delivered presentations at the CBA booth and shared their ideas and experiences on the front-line of HIV prevention. Additionally, each ambassador has written about his/her experience at the conference and will participate in a podcast interview focusing on the highlights of the conference. In these ways, they will share their best practices with colleagues and contribute to the growth of the field nationally.
