Data sources

This data was compiled from a HRSA Uniform Data System (UDS) in combination with our partner Clinical Directors Network. UDS data are collected from HRSA primary care programs, including Community Health, Migrant Health and Health Care for Homeless Centers, on a variety of information, including patient demographics, clinical indicators related to HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C, utilization rates and costs. This dashboard reflects the most current UDS data available from 2013.1

This data is also drawn from Kaiser Foundation which provides a centralized warehouse through its “State Health Facts” for statewide and national statistics on HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C. Data come from a variety of public and private sources, including Kaiser Family Foundation reports, public websites, government surveys and reports (e.g., CDC, NASTAD), and private organizations (e.g., AMFAR). This dashboard reflects the most current data available for each indicator through the State Health Facts, which are added or updated as new data become available.2
